Inference Hero
FAQ
What is Inference Hero?
Inference Hero is being built as a market-oriented routing layer for AI inference. The goal is to compare suitable providers, models and compute capacity while taking price, performance, availability, deadline and workload constraints into account.
What problem is it trying to solve?
Inference pricing and capacity are fragmented across providers and execution models. Inference Hero is intended to make those alternatives easier to compare and route without forcing the user to design a separate integration for every provider.
Do I have to run a workload immediately?
No. The design supports both urgent execution and planned execution. A deadline can provide scheduling flexibility that may make additional capacity or better economics available.
What does provider competition mean?
Rather than assuming one provider should always run a workload, Inference Hero is designed to evaluate multiple eligible routes. The route can depend on workload requirements, price, measured performance, availability, location, policy and execution constraints.
Does Inference Hero only work with open models?
No. The goal is to support suitable routes across open and closed model ecosystems where integrations, licensing and commercial terms allow it.
Will I be limited to one API?
No. The design aims to offer the APIs and channels appropriate for each workload, with the model, provider and routing policies you define. Actual interfaces and compatibility will depend on what is available at launch.
Will it support OpenAI-compatible clients?
Compatibility with widely used API conventions, including OpenAI-style interfaces, is part of the product direction. Exact compatibility will depend on the endpoint and model capabilities available at launch.
How will price and performance be compared?
The platform is intended to use normalized pricing together with measured and historical execution data such as latency, throughput and availability. Exact routing criteria and weights may vary by workload and user policy.
Can planned jobs be cheaper than immediate jobs?
Potentially. A workload with a flexible deadline can expose more routing and capacity options than a request that must run immediately. Savings are not guaranteed and depend on actual market conditions and eligible providers.
Will Inference Hero own the models or compute?
Not necessarily. The architecture is designed to work across heterogeneous supply, including third-party providers and infrastructure operated within the Inference Hero ecosystem.
Is the platform available now?
Inference Hero is currently in private alpha. You can request an email notification when the service launches from the home page. This does not grant early access.
How can I request a model, provider or feature?
During the private-alpha phase, use the Contact page. We plan to add more structured product-feedback and feature-discovery mechanisms as the community grows.
